2021 - San Carlos Station #54

2021 San Carlos Station #54

Type: Government

Location: Oriole Road, San Carlos Park, FL

Builder: Wright Construction Group

This new 12,631-square-foot fire station was designed by Studio A.D. for the San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Rescue Service District. Constructed by Wright Construction Group, the new station is located along a growing, populated corridor in Fort Myers. Its custom architectural design features six dorms, a battalion chief office and dorm, kitchen, gym, day room, training room and two-and-a-half apparatus bays for vehicle drive-through, as well as a new exterior training tower. Additionally, a 1,000-square-foot upper storage mezzanine is located in the apparatus bay. With this new station, San Carlos Park Fire Protection & Rescue Service District now operates out of four fire stations, covers 52 square miles and provides fire prevention, fire suppression and emergency medical services to over 34,200 full-time residents and countless others who work in and visit Southwest Florida.

2020 - Rooftop at The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center (SBDAC)

This project involved the transformation of the rooftop space for an existing three-story building, The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. Given the art gallery’s location in the historic downtown Fort Myers River District, Studio A.D. took care not to disturb the street façade or any of the existing parapet roof structure while creating the custom art gallery rooftop design. The reimagined space featured the addition of a small kitchen, full-service bar, restroom facilities and stage area. The final rooftop design also involved structural alterations to the building itself, because the original roof wasn’t designed to be occupied. Keeping safety in perspective, two new stairway towers were added on the east and north side of the building as exits. Stephen R. Bowen Construction completed the construction, and the charming rooftop space is currently used for various social events and wedding receptions.

2019 My Shower Door and D3 Glass

Studio A.D. created a custom design for this 60,000-square-foot headquarters and fabrication facility for My Shower Door and D3 Glass in Fort Myers, Florida. The office section of the building provides well-appointed office space for the executive, sales and marketing teams, as well as for product development. The fabrication section’s design facilitates the production, storage and distribution of glass products, while the high-tech facility houses glass tempering and glazing equipment. This includes overhead cranes, which are used to move both raw and finished products inside the fabrication area. In order to run all of the high-tech equipment, this facility’s custom plan incorporated high-voltage power at 480 volts, three-phase power at 5,000 amps and three separate electrical services for the building. Christel Construction used a pre-engineered metal building, concrete block walls and pre-cast concrete hollow core planks to construct this Studio A.D. design.

2018 - Luv-A-Wash

This automatic, drive-through car wash is the first of three locations designed by Studio A.D. in Southwest Florida. EECON Construction Services constructed the commercial building using a pre-engineered metal building, concrete block walls and pre-cast concrete hollow core planks.

2017 Naples Retail Buildings

Studio A.D. designed this custom retail shopping center along Naples Blvd., Florida to feature two 12,000-square-foot buildings, connected in the middle by an outdoor, covered trellis. These two commercial retail buildings offer a modern vibe with clean lines and an abundance of storefront glass. Thanks to its expert design, the commercial shopping center provides ample space for a variety of restaurants and retail shops with a dedicated electrical and fire riser room in the rear. Houchin Construction built Sutton Place out of concrete block walls, concrete beams, steel bar joists and light gauge metal framing for the façade treatments.

Studio A.D. designed this commercial office building and warehouse to serve as the new headquarters for Ford Drywall & Stucco. This 12,000-square-foot facility is located on Enterprise Ave in Naples, Florida. The commercial office building provides executive offices, a conference room, a field operations and training room, and a rear warehouse space to store supplies. Additionally, its design incorporated two lease spaces with offices at the front and warehouse space in the rear. EECON Construction Services constructed the commercial facility from a pre-engineered metal building system, using light gauge metal framing for the façade treatments.

A young couple planning to start a family commissioned this modern, custom residence located in Naples, Florida, three miles north of 5th Avenue South and just east of the Moorings. While the clients wanted a modern residence, they also communicated how much they enjoy the charm of the mid-century modern style. The resulting custom home design features an open floor plan with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms centered around the living room’s stunning vaulted ceiling. In total, this modern residence by Studio A.D. provides 2,308 square feet under air with an attached 300-square-foot garage. The majority of the existing house was torn down to make room for the remodel and addition by Houchin Construction.

Studio A.D. designed this modern, custom residence for an Indiana couple, who resides in Florida for six months each year. Located in the Royal Harbor neighborhood of Naples, Florida, the home has 4,350 square feet under air with an attached 620-square-foot garage. The residence includes 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms featuring an open floor plan. Houchin Construction tore down the previous house and constructed this new custom home by Studio A.D. in its place.

Designed for a young couple who didn’t want a “typical house” or just another Mediterranean-style home, this modern, custom residence is located in the Royal Harbor neighborhood of Naples, Florida. The single-story residence provides 3,300 square feet under air with an attached 685-square-foot garage. The custom home design has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms within an open floor plan that includes views to the backyard pool and canal and a well-appointed home office. The previous house was torn down to create this new custom home by Studio A.D. with construction by Houchin Construction.
